Donna Taraborelli

Donna Taraborelli, a life science consultant and entrepreneur, is deeply committed to fostering innovation in health care and public health. Her passion is evident in her support for biotech founders in the earliest company stages. She also enjoys science writing and conducting technical due diligence.
Before consulting, Dr. Taraborelli worked in clinical research and drug development for 20 years, primarily in the neuroscience and ophthalmology therapeutic areas. She's held leadership positions across R&D, corporate development, and medical affairs while in the pharmaceutical industry. She has worked at large global companies such as Merck and as an early-stage employee at startups such as Clearside Biomedical. Her contributions supported Clearside's initial public offering in 2016, and she co-led the NDA for their first FDA-approved drug, XIPEREâ„¢, for the treatment of noninfectious uveitis.
Dr. Taraborelli completed her Master of Bioethics degree at the University of Pennsylvania, her Master of Public Health with a certificate in pharmacoepidemiology at Johns Hopkins University, and her Doctor of Public Health at Harvard.
Donna is a health and wellness enthusiast. She also enjoys reading, gardening, cooking, home improvement projects, traveling, and spending time with her cat.
